Yahoo! plans to integrate Rockmelt's technology throughout various products. Rockmelt apps and the website were shut down after August 31, 2013. On August 2, 2013, Yahoo! acquired Rockmelt. The final version, 2.2.0, was released on February 9, 2013. Rockmelt was created by Rockmelt, Inc., located in Mountain View, California. In April 2013, Rockmelt discontinued its desktop web browser, replacing it with a collaborative project bringing together social elements from various sources. The Rockmelt web browser project was backed by Netscape founder Marc Andreessen. They're not completely identical, but these fonts do use the same widths as the Microsoft fonts they replace.Rockmelt is a discontinued proprietary social media web browser developed by Tim Howes and Eric Vishria based on the Google Chromium project, incorporating social media features such as Facebook chat, Twitter notifications and widgetised areas for other content providers such as YouTube and local newspapers. After all, Ubuntu and other distributions already feature a wide selection of adequate substitute fonts thanks to the inclusion of the Red Hat "Liberation Fonts" package. Of course, you might not require any of these fonts. You'll probably recognize most of these Times New Roman used to be the default text for Word (replaced by Calibri in 2007), while Impact is the sort of font that appears on posters around the word.
