![]() Torches are great for moving around outside when nobody is awake. Holy water is holy water, it is pretty much made to be used on everything a bit suspicious, and a person propably feels VERY suspicious after the dungeon runs. The medicinal herbs can maybe be smoked, and overall. I would certainly be happy for an extra meal on the side of that beer the guy paying me gives me. He might just outright take the stuff back because "FLAME IS IMPORTANT! IT SHOULD NOT BE WASTED!" or he is just a greedy bastard overall.Īlso, you could have also argued (mainly before selling the items back became a thing), that the adventurers themselves just stuff the extra food and things into their pockets as "a little extra" for doing things. I see your point, personally I'd like it if supplies were more valuable but you could keep them between quests, moving the managing part from "how many do I want to buy" to "should I use this potion now or save it for later?" But I can understand why they wouldn't do that. The fact that this struggling manor is always fully stocked with tons of supplies seems a bit silly. I'd prefer to have it somewhat randomized. If anything, they're overly generous with the amount of supplies they allow you to purchase. What's the point? It takes away another aspect of careful planning from the game that works perfectly fine as is. Just always buy max everything and reuse what you don't use in that run. ![]() If you got your money back or kept your provisions, there'd never be any decisionmaking involved. ![]() Originally posted by RedBeard:Aside from story reasons for it, the design reason would be because they expect you to carefully choose your provisions and punish you for being overly cautious and purchasing too many provisions.
